Alumilite Clear Slow is a crystal-clear resin with a longer (twelve-minute) open time, making it convenient to use for large casting and turning projects.
Note: The clarity of resin will shift from batch to batch based on the clarity of incoming raw materials. In most cases, this will not affect product unless used over white backgrounds.
Prior to using product, please read all Technical Data, Safety Data, and Instruction sheets linked below.
Best resin found for my work. Above 85 in the shop and it will shorten work time by 60% or more. Above 90, don't do it.
Use this resin all the time in doing pressure casting in conjunction with wood for turning. Great product.
Great stuff crystal clear dries nice and hard polishes very well. Used for making offshore lures.
no matter what I did the epoxy bubbled so much to the point that it became a FOAM. A waste of my time and money
I have used other brands, the Alumilite Clear Slow performs perfectly! I love this stuff.
Alumilite Clear Slow is my favorite resin. I won't use anything else on deep pours. I've had a few 4,000 gram pours with crystal clear results. Great Job Alumilite!
I use Alumilite Clear Slow to cast cylinders that I put on my lathe to turn down to make my prototype fishing lures. Easy to work with and turns like a dream in the lathe. I cast those prototypes in some High Strength 3 to make the lures to test and use on the Big Island of Hawaii. Great stuff. It does everything I need. Super satisfied. Thank you Alumilite.
So I was looking for a clearcoat product to brush on to a set of veneered speakers I am building. After some consultation with a company I went with the Alumalite clear slow. Well I am quite pleased with working with the product, in my case it’s soaked into the veneer too much and wind up requiring just as many coats as any other product would. The only reason why I did not give it five stars was because it did not work for the application I needed it for. Other than that I liked the product.
