Machining

Use Alumilite resins for casting blanks that can then be machined.  Start by pouring a block of resin into a mold box that has been sealed and mold released.

Make sure the block is bigger than the original piece you wish to machine.

Start by squaring up the faces of your poured block.

Mark your block where you wish to machine the shape of your part.

The machinability of Alumilite resin is outstanding.

Notice the shavings that are created by the mill.

The non abrasive characteristics of the resins are easy on tools and make for quick and easy machining projects.

Mill in any pockets you desire with ease.

Place machined block into place to test fit and spacing.

The last step is to drill, tap, and mount the finished block into place.
